The Balkan Wars Museum Gefyra is located in the town of Gefyra, near Thessaloniki in northern Greece. The museum is dedicated to the Balkan Wars, which took place between 1912 and 1913 and resulted in the liberation of several Balkan states from Ottoman rule.
One of the museum’s highlights is its collection of original documents, including letters, telegrams, and official reports, that were used during the negotiations and peace talks that followed the wars. It is highlighted that Balkan Wars Museum was used as the headquarters of King Constantine I the days before Greek Army liberated Thessaloniki.
